Comedian, Cook and Instagram Sensation ‘Snack Hacker’
George is a comedian and a cook known for his sell-out anarchic theatre shows where he makes food using unconventional appliances and unexpected methods and the creator and presenter of online sensation ‘Snack Hacker’, an ongoing series of short cookery films demonstrating imaginative recipes and innovative food hacks.
With over 70 episodes (and counting) George has amassed over 7 million views so far. He featured weekly on the ‘Elis James and John Robins Show’ on BBC5 Live during the Euros, creating snacks that combined the foods of the nations competing, and he’s cooked on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Loose Ends’, ‘Steph’s Packed Lunch’ (Channel 4), Bake Off: An Extra Slice (Channel 4) and presented an episode of BBC R4’s ‘The Food Programme’.
George says that ‘Snack Hacker’ isn’t a show about eating junk food, it’s a show about proving that anyone can cook and that cooking can be as simple as combining two unexpected things to create something that’s so much more than the sum of its parts. It’s about not being afraid to experiment, about taking control, being creative and inventive and taking risks.
